Summary: The plus side was that our apartment was very spacious and had a marvellous view of old Ostuni. The room was adjacent to the hotel pool which would be great in warm weather. However it has to be said that the 'private road' that leads up to the apartments is a rather hazardous rough track, very steep and windy - what you do if you meet another car is beyond me. We were fortunate that we were the only vehicle in the apartments so parking was fine but would be very testing if there were three or four cars using parking area. The hotel did say they had alternative parking available but this would be a long walk from the partment.
